It seems that, like most people, I have gone my whole life without finding any joy, fun or excitement from buying toilet roll… but that was until I ordered a big ol’ box of loo roll from Who Gives A Crap. https://uk.whogivesacrap.org/collections/all
As I am trying to live as sustainably as possible, finding toilet roll made from 100% recycled paper and free from inks, dyes or scents made me feel so happy that I had to photograph myself smiling with the toilet roll in question.
The toilet rolls come enveloped in the most wonderfully coloured patterned paper which is a fantastic alternative to the horrible single-use plastic packaging covering most toilet paper.
But even more brilliant than it being eco-friendly and zero-waste, is the amazing fact that 50% of the profits go towards building toilets for those in need!
Here are some facts:
A huge 2.4 billion people across the world don’t have access to a toilet and the website explains that poor sanitation causes diarrhoea related diseases that fill over half of sub-Saharan African hospital beds and kill 900 children under 5 every day. The profits from Who Gives A Crap selling toilet roll, kitchen roll and boxes of tissue help build new toilets and improve sanitation with the help of the organisation WaterAid.
So what are you waiting for?
I ordered a big box of 48 double length rolls which is the best value option, working out at 75p a roll. I was pleasantly surprised with how soft the toilet paper was and I can be happy knowing it is eco-friendly and helping a fantastic cause.
I really recommend that you check it out the website as it just makes me smile!
And finally, if you’ve never experienced the fun of stacking dozens of toilet rolls to make yourself look half-toilet roll half-human, you are totally missing out and need to place your order for this eco-friendly, plastic-free, charity-supporting and amazing toilet roll now!
